Intersections. Urban history as a place for interdisciplinary exchange
Since its inception as a recognised field of study, urban history has sought to be interdisciplinary. It is in the wake of this innate but problematic vocation that the AISU is organising a new series of doctoral seminars dedicated to the city as a complex theme, the subject of perspectives that would benefit greatly from intersect and interact. The aim is to stimulate dialogue between the various historical disciplines that deal with the urban dimension, opening up discussion on themes, results and perspectives of ongoing or recently completed research. In this second meeting, we propose to bring together perspectives from urban history and legal history, using a multidisciplinary and multidimensional approach that allows us to grasp salient aspects of the relationship between law, cities and jurists over the long term.
