Short Bio

I received my MA in Modern Philology from the University of Florence in 2021, with a thesis in Romance Philology focused on the critical edition of more than 220 letters from the Fondo Datini, preserved at the State Archives of Prato (Le lettere di Stefano Guazzalotti a Francesco di Marco Datini (13911400). Edizione con commento, annotazioni linguistiche e glossario). In 2025, I completed my PhD at the University of Siena under a cotutelle agreement with the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris). My doctoral dissertation was devoted to the critical edition and linguistic analysis of a vernacular translation of Giles of Rome’s De regimine principum (Lo libro del reggimento dei prencipi facto da frate Gilio. Versione aretina del De regimine principum di Egidio Romano secondo il codice BnF Ital. 233). I also collaborated on the Tesoro della Lingua Italiana delle Origini at the Istituto Opera del Vocabolario Italiano (OVI-CNR), preparing historical dictionary entries. My research interests focus on historical lexicography, the history of the Italian language, and Italian and Romance philology.
